Support Girls Inc. while enjoying this INCREDIBLE Summer Opportunity!
Girls Inc. has been afforded the opportunity to partner with the PGA who will be hosting The Barclays Tournament at Bethpage Black on Tuesday, August 23nd – Sunday, August 28th, 2016. The PGA is looking for volunteers who can choose from over 20 different committees to support this large undertaking. They are looking for Youth (13-18 years of age by August 24, 2016) or Adult Volunteers to work (3) 6 hour shifts over the course of the tournament and, for a $75 fee, volunteers get a badge valid for admission the entire tournament week (as well as one for a guest), a logoed golf shirt and hat, a meal during your shift, an invitation to the Volunteer Appreciation Party and more!
Your payment will also allow The PGA and Barclays to make a significant contribution to support the mission of Girls Inc. of Long Island and inspire all girls to be strong, smart and bold!
The attached application- 2016 Volunteer Application lists the committee opportunities as well as volunteer information needed by the PGA. When registering online, http://barclaysvolunteers.pgatourhq.com, you will have the opportunity to pick your top three committee choices. You must choose Girls Inc. Long Island in the drop down under affiliations so Girls Inc. gets credit for your participation. You will receive your committee assignment in June of 2016. To help your chances of receiving your top choice, it is better to register earlier rather than later. Each committee will receive extensive training prior to the tournament and it’s is required for new committee members. The exact dates/times of training will be included when each volunteer receives their committee assignment.
