Overnight Adventure at Watch Hill, Fire Island
On Thursday, July 2, girls took a ferry to Watch Hill, Fire Island where they camped overnight! At the campsite, girls participated in ice-breaker activities and other games and worked together to set up campsite. Girls also measured levels in the sand for horseshoe crab research, collected horseshoe crab eggs for counting, and collected horseshoe crab eggs for research. Girls left this adventure with a sense of empowerment and with amazing new friendships! A special thank you to Sixto Portilla from CERCOM at Molloy College for teaching the girls how to find horseshoe crabs and how to count their eggs!
Thank you to Bethpage Federal Credit Union for sponsoring the trip.
