Girls at Engineering for Science Camp explored teambuilding and engineering to design solutions to tough problems. They worked together to build solar water heaters, a robotic arm that could move a water bottle, explored with Littlebits magnetic circuits to create moving vehicles, a drawing machine, a confetti cannon, and countless other creations.
Girls at Fun with DNA Camp learned that DNA makes up everything. They studied their own cheek cells, used microscopes to see mutations in bugs, and extracted DNA from a banana!
Huge THANK YOU to National Grid, Knapp Swezey Foundation, Women’s Fund of Long Island, JustEnergy, and Pall Corporation for making this possible!
