Become a Champion for Girls
Girls Inc. of Long Island’s Champion for Girls membership is an exclusive opportunity for recurring donors who receive:
- A special welcome packet
- Two free tickets to our Champion for Girls Breakfast
- Unique volunteer opportunities
- Invitation-only donor events

Throw a Fundraiser
Don’t let the party stop at our events! Lots of our supporters host their own fundraisers in-person or virtually to help us in our mission to create a more equitable Long Island for all girls.
Whether you want to support us individually or as part of a larger group, you can make an impact for girls in our community.
Here are just a few ideas that have been done in the past:
- Wine tasting event
- Facebook fundraiser
- Galentine’s Day brunch
- Axe throwing party
- Birthday celebrations

Become a Corporate Partner
Is your company interested in supporting workforce development and DEI? Let’s talk!
Our corporate partners are indispensable to our mission of inspiring girls to be strong, smart and bold. We work hand-in-hand with many local companies on Long Island, including PSEG-LI, National Grid, Dime Bank, and more. They have hosted our girls on field trips, provided financial literacy workshops, and provided unique opportunities and internships.

Volunteer
Our volunteers are crucial to giving our girls real-world experiences and helping our staff deliver life-changing programs.
Volunteers have helped Girls Inc. of Long Island by:
- Attending career mentor workshops at in-school programs and conferences
- Helping with event set up and clean up
- Joining fundraising event committees
- Assisting in pre-event logistics
- Doing supply drives at their companies

Women's History Month
Each year, Girls Inc. of Long Island celebrates Women’s History Month and receives a large quantity of volunteering inquiries.
We’d love to accommodate all volunteer opportunities. However, we have a limited capacity to fulfill every volunteer request. If you’re interested in learning about our volunteer opportunities in March for Women’s History Month, please contact our Program Manager, Susan Dunbar, at sdunbar@girlsinclongisland.org to be added to our volunteer email list.
